We are looking for a local, confident, outgoing female carer who has experience with learning disabilities. The client lives in Havant, carer is not required to drive.

The client is independent with administering her medication, and all aspects of personal care but requires support with meal preparation, the client is able to make choices independently. Client likes to go shopping on a Tuesday at Asda Bedhampton, with her carer.

The client attends day centre three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 09.00-15.00 and this is when the live-in carer will have her break. Parents are very much involved and visit on a Thursday evening so the carers would also have a couple of hours Thursday evening off.

Pay is £900 per week.

Once you apply for a role at In Home Care

If your application is successful, we’ll contact you to organise an interview. Before attending your interview, we request you bring the following:

Three to four items of identification, e.g. passport, driving licence, birth certificate or recent utility bill or bank statement (not mobile phone)
Any relative care certificates such as Diplomas/NVQ PLUS/all mandatory care certificates
Your current DBS number or DBS certificate, and
Three references, usually from two previous employers plus a character reference

Interviews are typically no longer than one hour, and you’ll be informed on the day or within a set period if your application has been successful.

If it’s yes, we’ll book your induction date and enrol you on our comprehensive training programme. Once your induction and mandatory training are over, and your DBS* checks are back and work shadowing are complete, you’ll be ready to start.
