Sometimes you might forget to take your medication or struggle to take it in the right way, which could put your health at risk.
To ease any worries you may have, our carers are fully trained to assist you with your prescribed medicine and can prompt medication at the appropriate times.
Not all medication tasks can be carried out by our carers, for example:
However, should this be the case, alternative arrangements will be made.
Meal times are the best times – and there’s no reason you shouldn’t continue eating the food you enjoy. Our carers receive training in food hygiene to ensure you feel supported with all aspects of meal times including:
And we can also order your shopping for home delivery and put it away for you, should you need us to.
Keeping on top of household chores gets harder the older we get – but you won’t need to worry about that.
We’ll assist you with duties including:
But that’s not all. Our carers will also lend a helping hand with household administration such as paying bills, collecting prescriptions/pensions and arranging appointments.
Our carers can be on hand to offer as little or as much support as required.
Having somebody to talk to makes a big difference to our self-esteem, seeing a friendly face alone can help to relieve anxiety and the feeling of loneliness.
At In Home Care, we don’t see looking after you as a job, we see it as building a caring relationship – that’s why our carers will go above and beyond your expectations.
They’ll accompany you to appointments, help you walk your dog or stay in with you on a day when a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake is a much cosier option.
Many of our clients love a game of cards or scrabble, and so do our carers!
Whether you’re looking to stay mobile by getting out and about or prefer staying at home with a crossword or a chat during Countdown, we’re flexible to your needs.
Our specialist care supports those with the most challenging needs, including:
Long-term health conditions cause stress for both the sufferer and their families. That’s why you can rely on our team of carers to provide support to those who need it most and help them to live a normal life through the most difficult times.
We’ll be there when you need us, starting from just 30-minutes. Or for those requiring overnight or 24-hour live-in care, our team of specialist carers will take care of you or your loved one around the clock. And for those with severe disabilities, our carers are trained to operate mobility equipment and receive bespoke training to suit your own needs.
In Home Care’s specialist care also includes companionship, which means you don’t need to be ill to enjoy our services. If you’re looking for a bit of help getting out and about or want somebody to play a game of Scrabble with, we cover that too.
So, whatever the personal needs of you or your loved one, we’re happy to discuss them with you.
We understand the upset of loneliness and how distressing it is for both the lonely person and the loved ones whom they reach out to.
That’s why for those who don’t need physical support, they can receive emotional support by way of a daily phone call. This makes such a difference to the lives of those living in isolation. It’s also a safety check to ensure your loved one is managing well and is safe.
