An overview of the support we provide

Personal Hygiene

Support and assistance with morning and night-time routines such as oral care, skin care and bathing requirements. Assistance getting in and out of the bath or shower safely, washing and drying hair and body, shaving, brushing teeth, cleaning dentures, applying skin creams and the like.

Dressing

Tying laces or fastening buttons can be incredibly difficult tasks for many people. We offer assistance with all aspects of getting dressed/undressed.

Bed Routine

Help getting in and out of bed, following your own routine and at a time that suits you. Our care workers are trained to assist individuals with mobility problems including the use of hoists.

Continence Care

We provide assistance getting to and from the toilet and supporting with urinary and faecal continence. Tasks can include changing catheter and stoma bags, incontinence pads and sheets and help with bathing and changing.

Medication assistance

Sometimes you might forget to take your medication or struggle to take it in the right way, which could put your health at risk. To alleviate any worries you may have, our carers are fully trained to assist you with your prescribed medicine and can prompt or administer medication at the appropriate times. Not all medication tasks can be carried out by our carers, e.g. administering controlled drugs or injections should this be the case, alternative arrangements will be made.

Meal times

Our carers receive training in food hygiene and nutrition so we can ensure you are supported with all aspects of meal times including meal preparation, shopping, and managing the food in your home. We offer anything from heating, plating and serving meals to cooking from scratch. We can also order online or shop for food on behalf of our clients and put away the shopping if this is difficult for them to do.

Household Tasks

Assistance with light household duties – tasks can include laundry, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning and washing up. Support with household administration such as paying bills, collecting prescriptions/pensions, arranging appointments. Our carers can be on hand to offer as little or as much support as required.

Social Companionship

Having the reassurance that someone is visiting you on a daily basis can reduce feelings of anxiety and the dreaded loneliness so many can feel. Assistance with tasks such as making appointments, accompanying you to the doctors, sending birthday cards, walking the dog or just sitting having a chat over a cup of tea are some of the ways in which we can help. Many clients enjoy our company playing a game of scrabble or cards or completing a crossword ! Stopping in the home, or going out and about we can accommodate both.

Specialist Care

We provide specialist care services and we should be delighted to discuss your particular needs.

Telecare Call

We understand the upset of loneliness, and this can be very distressing for both the person who is lonely, and also the loved ones whom they reach out to. Therefore, we wanted to add into our services a package for those who didn’t need physical support but more emotional support, by way of a daily phone call. This not only helps alleviate the isolation one can feel, but it can also be a safety check to ensure your loved one is managing and is safe.
